What the Clients Say ..

This is just a short note to let you know how impressed my wife and I were with our trip to Cape Tribulation, Mossman gorge on Friday 9 May 2008.

All aspects of the tour including the food/refreshments were of the highest quality.

Special mention to our tour guide (Kerry). He was just fantastic. He was very professional and knowledgeable. At no stage during the tour did he try to rush you and we all felt at ease in his presence. He is obviously an asset to your organisation.

Of all the trips we did during our stay at Port Douglas, this tour was the standout.

Kind regards

Kaye and Les Carrick

On 13th December my husband Bill and I took my sister who is visiting from England on Tour 3 leaving Port Douglas 7.30a.m.

I have to write to thank you for a great tour and to particularly bring to your attention Bill our driver and Karen our guide - between the two of them they made it a day to remember.

How Bill got round all that rain I will never know - they were both eager to pass on their knowledge of the rain forest and the boat trip guide was great.

We feel privileged to have made the tour with your company - our thanks go to Bill and Karen - great guides and great people

yours Jude Clarke

On 24/1/07 my wife and I had the pleasure of travelling with your Adam and experiencing the Cape Tribulation and Bloomfield Falls area. Adam displayed an intimate knowledge and "love" for the area. It was pleasing to have a guide who had empathy with the area and his ability to impart that knowledge.
His driving was commendable and safe overall made the excursion very pleasurable as my wife suffers "motion sickness" and his consideration was appreciated.
His professionalism and courtesy was further extended when he returned next day to the Sheraton, next day, a pair of shoes my wife had left at the Falls.
We will be returning to Port again this year and look forward to taking another tour with Adam & De Luxe.
I would appreciate your making Adam aware of our appreciative remarks.

"Keep up the good work" Ken and Jeannette Tandy

Hi Adam

We are back in the UK now but would like to thank you for our wonderful day in the rainforest.. you made it one of the highlights of our Australian holiday. We had a wonderful time and you were a superb guide. We are sending a few photos.. we'll try not to crash your computer. Thank you once again and maybe we'll meet up again one day.

Regards Nicki and Pete Stuart xx

Dear Deluxe Safaris,

I would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you for a wonderful holiday experience. On 7th January we had the pleasure of completing your cape tribulation tour and were thrilled with the day. Full praise to Adam who was friendly, professional and certainly full of interesting information. We were amazed at the personal service and his ability to get us in and out of the various stops avoiding the large tour groups. I will not hesitate to recommend Deluxe Safaris and Adam to anyone visiting Port Douglas and look forward to doing one of your other tours on my next visit!

Thanks again!

Thanks for a fascinating day

Just wanted to thank Bill and Karen for a terrific day on Monday, from pickup at the Sheraton to return in the evening Colin and I had a fascinating day and learned a lot. Certainly had time to think about it on the BA jumbo back to London, arriving this morning!

Hope to see you again some time, this time I’ll bring the kids!

Dear Deluxe Safaris!

We had a wonderful adventure to Bloomsfield Fall with Bill! He was a wonderful guide and was really funny and knowledgeable.

We had a great lunch and Bill took us to some wonderful "out of the way" places!!! We got back to Memphis, TN USA and told everyone about the Daintree and Cape Trib! It was the highlight of our first time to Australia! We would definitely go on the tour again with Bill when we return!

Thanks for a great Adventure!

Dear Deluxe Safaris,

We just wanted to send a message to say thank you very much for the
wonderful Daintree and Cape Tribulation tour that Steve and I took
with you last Sunday. The scenery was nothing short of spectacular
and the bus was very comfortable. Bill and Karen were absolutely
fantastic hosts, and made the experience all the more enjoyable. We
have happily recommended the tour to a number of friends and
colleagues who will be travelling to Port Douglas in the next few
months. We hope to return with our twin sons some time in the next
few years!

With best wishes,

Kirsty Terry & Steve Hansen

Hi Bill,
A big thank-you from the Corporate Adrenalin team and Lion Nathan (XXXX GOLD) for helping to make the ripper mates trip such a big success
Thanks for your help with the organisation for members of our group in early May. We were also hoping that you could pass our thanks on to all of your staff involved on the day of the tour.
Unfortunately we were not fortunate enough to enjoy the tour ourselves but the feedback that we had from clients has been exceptional. The people from our group who chose to join one of your tours were absolutely glowing in their praise of the tour and your staff.
Thanks again for a job well done!

Greetings,
Please direct this e-mail to the mgr/owner of Deluxe Safaris as well at  the driver/guides -- Clay & Karen.

My brother and I took a deluxe safari tour on Oct.21 or 20 (one day is the  same on vacation) to Mossman Gorge, Daintree Rainforest & Cape Tribulation. In my opinion the day was the highlight of our two week trip to Australia.

The whole tour was planned to perfection -- from the morning tea with the delicious Daintree Tea and high quality biscuits (just when I was starting  to feel faint from hunger ha, ha!) to the breathtaking walks thru the ancient forests following our capable guides Clay & Karen and then onto  navigating down the Daintree River looking at crocodiles. We also  thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Betty Hinton gallery and I plan to
mount the two prints I purchased in a prominent spot in my home to frequently remind myself of one of the most enjoyable days of my life. It is obvious a great deal of effort and attention has gone into designing this safari.

As my husband works with Canada's national airline, Air Canada, I'm blessed with the opportunity to travel frequently -- and within our circle of family and friends reside quite a few "travel addicts". I assure you
Deluxe Safaris will be highly recommended to anyone we know headed to Australia.

Sincerely,

My Husband and I have just returned from a wonderful honeymoon in which we spent 10 days in Port Douglas. During our time we had the absolute pleasure and delight in experiencing one of your safari tours to Mossman George, Cape Tribulation and The Daintree. Out tour guide was Grant Knight and we found him to be not only knowledgeable and professional but very insightful. Being both teachers my husband and I know how difficult it can be sometimes, when faced with a small group of people and to pass on expertise in a short period of time. However Grant was amusing, confident, relaxed and was able to pass on an abundance of knowledge and information. We also had met a lovely family on the tour and they too also helped to add to the entire outstanding experience.

I would just like to thank you very much for a wonderful safari that we took with Bill a couple of weeks ago up to Cape Trib. It was a wonderful trip and I am only sorry we didn't get around to doing the Mt Lewis one, hopefully the next time, whenever that may be. I will not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone who may happen to ask us about trips from Port Douglas, and we wish you all the best.

You can't help but catch David Nielsen's enthusiasm for the rainforest. With just the right blend of knowledge and humour, David led us through a well-paced day. Our excursion into this ancient place took us out of the everyday and into a greater context, that of understanding and treasuring our environment. David's care and delight for this precious natural realm will stay in our memories.
On another note, from ascorbic ants, to edible berries, Daintree tea and the sumptuous luncheon al fresco and on re-usable beautiful dishes, all was in keeping with this same premise: marvel and do no harm.
So, to David, thanks for a this experience.

Hi Bill,
After taking your Safari One trip in early May with our wonderful and informative guide, David, who gave us such a grand tour and info on Lt. Cook's adventures along your coast, I decided to order your book for our summer reading. ( And is it ever summer here!)

We live on a barrier island a little south of Charleston, SC. in a maritime forest with a climate, birds, and animals similar to yours--- we have alligators , you have crocks!

After coming back after five very rainy weeks, we have found that the " jungle " in the two un-developed lots on either side of us --- has attacked! After many hours of pulling and chopping , you can tell David "Hello" and that our great guide was right! Vines on this side of the Equator do grow in a different direction than those down your way! There are some common elements, however. The ones that get a good chance , grow as quickly as they can straight up ---- must be about a foot a day ! Got those babies at the knee caps. Will keep them away for a week or two!!!

Looking forward to reading the book!

Thanks ,

Kanda Parsons

Dear Bill,
Jan and I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful excursion into the rainforest. We have been on many similar tours on our travels and it is great to see sound environmental practices in place to preserve such beauty.
Your knowledge and humor entertained our little group from start to finish. A great day out and I will be recommending your tour to my "mates" ( see ... the aussie language has stuck !) , when they visit downunder.
Thanks again,

To the Manager,

My husband and myself would like to thank your company for giving us a great day out on your "Safari One" tour.

We were recommended by the hotel we were in (tropical club resort), and was a highlight of our holiday. we have a great tour guide called grant. He was just fantastic. He was especially great with another couple on the tour who had left his video camera in one of the toilets. The elderly gentleman was quite upset and Grant was very reassuring to him. He checked up everywhere and was so helpful. (in the end they managed to retrieve it).

We have just recommended your company to some friends that are coming up shortly and will always mention your name to anybody else we come across in the future who will be holidaying in Pt. Douglas.

Many thanks again and please pass on our many thanks to Grant for such a wonderful day.

Hi Bill,

I'd been meaning to send a couple of the pictures from the wonderful
trek up the Bloomfield Track into the Daintree Rainforest for some time
now, but I never seemed to remember when I was near my computer. We
want to thank you again for the expertly guided tour. While I know we
really like what we saw even though it was really just scratching the
surface. It definitely makes us want to come back yet again. We also
had a great time in Alice Springs after leaving Port Douglas the Monday
following our tour. It was all over far too soon, but it's nice to now
be home as well.

Dear Bill,
We enjoyed our two safaris with you so much - we have drawn the climate
and the miner's bell on the outback in our journal (because we did not have a camera for our first trip).
I have to tell you though, that I have discovered that sclerophyll is not named after Mr and Mrs Sclero and their son Phil, but after hard leaves - woo, not only wonders to enjoy in the moment but wonders to ponder and discuss in later days.
Thank you for a wonderful experience.

All the best
